Meta: The Evolution of Teyla Emmagan (or Why I love Teyla)

My March entry into the WOTG's 11 in 11 challenge and yes, it is another meta piece!  Having covered by favourite female character of SG1, I thought I'd turn my attention to my favourite female character in Stargate Atlantis: Teyla. 

Teyla is hands down my favourite – and it has nothing to do with the fact that she's the only female character to survive the various cast changes! Introduced as the leader of the Athosians, Teyla was a formidable warrior and skilled negotiator with a compassionate heart and zen-like calm. She also displayed a wicked sense of humour, a willingness to learn and a fierce loyalty to those she loved. ( Read more... )
