I really liked this; it was a great filler for why Sam made the decisions that she did. I also really liked the scenes with Jacob/Selmak; you captured their relationship just like I picture it. Their arguments with each other felt real, and were gut-wrenching.
The line you wrote describing Teal'c as some "crazy Jaffa yenta" made me burst out laughing. I'm still giggling about it.
