This episode vexes me more than any other episode of SG-1 when it comes to the Sam/Jack implications.
I understand that Jack loves her and wants what is best for her. I also get that he would never ask her to give up her career. I can also see him wanting her to have the chance to have what he had as far as a family was concerned. I also understand that the people she saw in her hallucinations were Sam talking to herself. The scene with Jack still bugs me though. Still, it's the best the writers could do for us I suppose.
Honestly, sometimes you would just like to strand them somewhere until they could sort the whole mess out!
This was a good description of the thought proceeses she would have gone through. Sam does tend to overthink things. I like this very much; there's a lot to this episode.
